Brian M. Davis
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
As the Managing Director and CEO of ClearView Consulting, Brian is responsible for providing the vision, cultivating the opportunities and creating an environment that makes ClearView the most attractive destination for the very best talent in the industry.
Prior to founding ClearView, Brian spent twelve years playing an integral role in developing, and eventually serving as the Managing Director of the Consulting Practice of the Region’s largest locally based CPA and Management Consulting Firm. Brian began his career with a “Big Four” accounting firm, where he gained experience in business advisory and assurance services.
Brian received an Accounting degree from Towson University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Brian is also a Board Member for the Baltimore Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, an Executive Board Member of Matt Birk’s HIKE Foundation, a member of Towson University Executive Club and a member of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).
Robert J. Stovall, Jr.
Chief Operating Officer
As the Chief Operating Officer of ClearView Consulting, Rob oversees all aspects of the firm’s day-to-day operations and administration. He is responsible for maintaining the Firm’s internal organizational processes and infrastructure, and coordinating the delivery of client services. Rob has more than twenty years of broad professional services experience in public accounting and consulting.
Prior to joining ClearView, Rob spent over seven years as the Director of Operations for the Consulting Practice of the Region’s largest locally based CPA and Management Consulting Firm. Rob began his career with a “Big Four” accounting firm in Baltimore, and has held leadership positions with PRGX, an international business analytics and information services firm.
Rob received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore. He is a Board Member for the Maryland Disability Law Center, where he currently serves as the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee Chairperson.
Richard Compton, Jr.
Director of Business Development
As the Director of Business Development for ClearView Consulting, Rich is responsible for cultivating new business opportunities for the firm as well as managing the overall relationship with existing clients and prospects. Rich has twenty years of varied business experience, including a background in audit, accounting, marketing and business development.
Prior to joining ClearView Consulting, LLC, Rich spent twelve years with Jefferson Wells International, Inc., (now Experis Finance) where he served as the lead business development executive in the Baltimore, Washington and Northern Virginia markets. Rich began his career with a “Big Four” accounting firm, where he gained experience in business advisory and assurance services. That was followed by six years at T. Rowe Price in the areas of mutual fund accounting and equity portfolio accounting.
Rich received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting major from Bucknell University. He is a Board Member of the Baltimore Chapters of The Institute of Internal Auditors and Financial Executives International. Rich is also very active with the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Association for Corporate Growth – Maryland.
Director, Middle Market Assurance
As the Director of our Middle Market Practice, Mike provides leadership and technical oversight for the Firm’s assurance and consulting engagements including audits, reviews, compilation, due diligence, and process improvement. Mike has over twenty years of experience as a strategic advisor; representing organizations that range from rapid-growth start-ups, to veteran, industry leaders in their market.
Prior to joining ClearView, Mike most recently spent three years with Clifton Larson Allen, where he served in the Assurance and Business Risk Services practice. In addition to holding leadership positions at other regional accounting firms, he has also held the position of Director of Internal Audit at U.S. Food Services, the second largest food distributor in the U.S.
Mike graduated from Louisiana State University, with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He is a member of the AICPA, a member of the leadership committee of the IIA-Baltimore, and serves as an Advisor to the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business MBA Program Action Learning Program.
