Mike Buher is the Director in the Audit and Assurance Practice at Clearview Group. With over 27 years of experience in his field, Mike takes complex issues and makes them simple – saving clients time and frustration. He specializes in financial statement audits, financial reporting, technical accounting, due diligence, financial modeling, corporate governance and policy, and strategic planning. He has led the delivery of audit and related services for companies in all stages of growth. Mike has also served private and public companies from the initial stages of private to public reporting through post-effective filings. In addition to publishing numerous articles and white papers on audits and financial reporting, Mike enjoys speaking at industry forums and hosting webinars on topics related to his practice.
Mike is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysis. He is an active Board Member, Treasurer, and Audit Committee Chairman for the Technology Council of Maryland. Mike is also active in charitable organizations, having served as Chairman of the Board for Tabitha’s House, serving low-income and at-risk families in Harford County, Maryland, where he lives. He is also a board member at Mountain Christian Church in Harford County.
Mike attended Indiana University Bloomington, where he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
